Chris Yurchuck: Bio

For Chris Yurchuck, it was never about finding his voice. In fact, he felt like he heard too many of them. “When I first started out I had a hard time figuring out the kind of artist I wanted to be because I wrote in a lot of different genres. It wasn’t until I kept hearing that I sounded country that I realized the unifying factor in all of my songs is the story. So whether it’s rock, pop, country or blues, I guess I always have my cowboy hat on.”

Selected as 1 of 19 writers for the first Skip Ewing Horse & Writer Annual Invitational in Wyoming, Chris Yurchuck’s songwriting is getting noticed by some heavy hitters in the Nashville songwriting community. In addition, Chris' songs have been featured on Felicity (WB), The Black Donnellys (NBC), Everwood (CW), as well as programming on A & E, Fox, The Food Network, and Lifetime. His music is also currently in rotation on widescreen radio at Regal and United Artists theaters nationwide. Chris splits his time between New York, New Hope, and Nashville writing for artists and for film/TV projects.
